Logan partnership delivers crucial data

The Logan River MangroveWatch Project saw data collected on Logan River mangroves which delivered crucial baseline information. Mangroves are considered ‘coastal canaries’ – early indicators of change – and monitoring is an essential tool for managing the quality of our waterways.

The project, initiated by the Wildlife Preservation Society Qld Logan Branch gained support from Logan City Council and other enthusiastic partners who are keen to continue the project collecting comparative data and venturing into other waterways as yet unmonitored.  Read more about the project in the 150929 News
