The latest Seagrass Watch data is available.
While we are still analysing the data there is good news and bad news. Despite the floods many seagrass meadows seemed to have fared well. Southern Deception Bay is a worry but this is to be expected as it would have received a significant silt load from the floods. Many survey teams were forced to abandon their surveys in late 2010 to early 2011 due to weather conditions. Therefore, we are very keen to get as many teams out in the field during the next survey period to form a better picture of what is happening.
Summary data is graphed and can be downloaded from the SGW development web site. Click here to download.
See you out on the mud flats : )
